Refugee Camp Out

Years 5 & 6 braved the wind and rain to complete a Refugee Camp Out at school. This event was a culmination of all of their work from the term on displaced families and refugees.

As part of the event they had a talk from KRAN (Kent Refugee Action Network) which supports young people who are seeking asylum or are refugees, and helps enables them to succeed.

The children had to forage for their dinner ingredients and then cook them, before sleeping in their makeshift camps.

It was a real success and the children were very reflective of their experience.
