Assemblies
We have 3 core assemblies that we use each week. These reinforce the school’s Rights Respecting culture and enhances our pupils’ social, moral, spiritual and cultural experiences.
Newsround
Weekly class assemblies will allow the children to watch at least 1 Newsround episode, highlighting things that have occurred around the world at an age-appropriate format.
RRSA
Whole school assemblies will focus on an article or National Day that is then linked to a UNICEF Article.
Pupils will be expected to summarise the article for the assembly and discuss it in a range of oracy groupings.
Singing/Language
Weekly whole school assemblies will provide pupils with opportunities to learn songs from around the world.
In addition, termly Language of the month assemblies will allow pupils of different heritage or culture to share their experiences.
