Procedure in the event of bad weather

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE IF THE SCHOOL DOES NOT OPEN DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER.

If we are unable to open the school because of severe weather, we will endeavour to use our ‘ParentMail’ software to alert parents.  This will depend upon Internet access and mobile networks working effectively, so we need to have a backup system, and this consists of the following three main aspects.  Staff and parents should do the following.

1. Listen to local radio: Heart (formerly Invicta FM), Radio Kent, KMFM.
2. Look at the local radio websites.
3. Look at the school website: we will post notices as long as the internet and school network are working.
