Outside Area Grand Opening
A brand new outside area was officially opened today (23 February 2023) at Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill, by Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Councillor Sue Bell.
The new play area is situated outside the Key Stage 1 classrooms (Reception class, Year 1, Year 2 and the Specialist Resource Provision) at the school and includes climbing equipment, reading/book sheds and an amphitheatre style learning area.
Parents, staff, governors and other guests enjoyed performances from Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, as well as the school band, who wowed the crowd with three brilliant songs.
Headteacher, Steph Guthrie, said: ‘It was wonderful to see everyone together to officially open our fantastic new outside area, which we are absolutely delighted with. It will make a huge difference, and be of huge benefit, to our pupils and staff alike. We want to thank Valley Invicta Academies Trust, L&L Creative Spaces and My Can Do Balloons who made the area look even better with their fantastic balloon creations!’
The project was funded by Valley Invicta Academies Trust, which Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill is part of.
