WW2 experience
On Thursday, Year 6 had the most terrific WW2 experience!
We were visited by a WW2 lieutenant who put the class through their paces as soldiers and then, after their army training, the children had to become evacuees and imagine how it would have felt to leave their homes and live with a new family during the war.
They also learnt how to defuse bombs, how to carry out an evacuation, build an Anderson shelter and learnt about the war effort at home. Max said he had learnt so much and it was the best morning at school he had ever had!
