Samba music workshop

On Wednesday, a group of children from years 4, 5 and 6 participated in a samba music workshop run by Miss Fletcher, who is a music teacher at Invicta Grammar School.  

They learnt and practised a selection of different rhythms through a variety of fun activities, before playing them using some instruments which are commonly used in samba bands, including drums, bells and shakers.  

The rhythms were slowly built up into a piece with the children even starting to play in two different parts.  The workshop was great fun and the children really enjoyed trying the different instruments!
