World Book Day fun!

For World Book Day, the children were treated to a variety of activities.

We all had our favourite story book at the ready and whenever the bell rang, we had to read for 10 minutes. This included all of the adults in the school and not a sound could be heard up and down the corridors.

During Art, the children all created a creative, hanging mobile of a book they have recently enjoyed and these were displayed in assembly.

The children got the chance to show off their brilliant costumes as we had an whole school fashion show in the hall!

At the end of the day, an author came in to school and explained the process of writing a fiction book to the children - she even treated us to an extract of the new novel which is called "The Cyclops and the Doughnuts". A super day was had by all!
