Year 1 Trip to Rochester Cathedral

What a wonderful time we had on our school trip today! We went to the Cathedral first and we had a heraldry workshop where we designed some shields.

After that, we walked around the cathedral in our groups to find different areas of the cathedral. We found a font and we had a go at baptising a baby, and then found the Bishops chair where some of us dressed up as bishops. We were very hungry after such a busy morning, so we had lunch in the castle grounds and drew what we could see in our sketchbooks. It was such a fun day and there was so much to see.
