Maidstone Museum

Year 3 went to Maidstone Museum on Thursday 5 May. The children participated in two workshops. In the first workshop, the children recalled their understanding of the Stone Age and looked at a range of artefacts. In the second workshop, the children explored the different types of rocks and how minerals are formed. They then had some time in the afternoon to explore the museum grounds. The children loved discussing and investigating through a range of interactive activities and displays around the museum. As a class, we discussed our favourite areas, and we concluded 'The Egyptians' was the firm favourite.
