Books recommended by our pupils!
For the second Primary Weekly Challenge, we asked our pupils to tell us about their favourite, recently-read book.
We've had some great suggestions. Maybe you could give one of these a try!
Evie has enjoyed 'Little Monsters' by David Williams. She said: "I liked the part In the book where Howler makes new friends and he is happy."
Freya recommends 'We are the Beaker Girls' by Jacqueline Wilson. She said: "I enjoyed this book so much as it’s about someone who struggles in life and after much perseverance they find a nice happy life."
George had this to say about 'Be Your Own Football Hero' by Ronaldo
Matt and Tom Oldfield - "I enjoyed reading this book because it gives me a vision of what Ronaldo went through as a child."
George said: "My favourite book is Cave Baby by Julia Donaldson because he lives in a cave and goes on an adventure with a massive mammoth."
Isabella's favourite book from the last few weeks is 'Two Weeks with the Queen' by Morris Gleitzman. She said: "I like the book because it shows the true friendship between two brothers. One brother is sick and the Australian hospital cannot help so the other brother goes to the UK to seek help from HRH the Queen. This book is a really moving story that demonstrates the kindness of brotherly love."
Alaska's favourite book at the moment is 'The monster at the end of the book' by Jon Stone. "You are told not to turn the pages because there is a monster at the end of the book but Grover doesn’t realise he is the monster! I love this book and think it's very funny because you have to read it with a funny voice."
